Reporting TCFD Recommendations

Reporting TCFD Recommendations

Businesses and other organisations have a vital role to play in reporting on climate change performance.

The GRI Standards enable organizations to examine climate change risk and other sustainability challenges and support them in making better decisions.

Organisations using the GRI Standards can:

  1. Identify climate change or related topics as material, e.g., heavy carbon emitter; high energy usage; high water usage; products/ services affected by changing climate;
  2. Report GRI 102: General Disclosures 2016
  3. Identifying relevant topic-specific Standards in conjunction and report disclosures along with GRI 103: Management Approach 2016

The benefit of using GRI Standards to address the TFCD recommendations is the rigour brought to bear on implementing a systematic management approach to disclosure as well as precision on critical disclosures as noted in the following figure.
